DIRECTOR

Nicky commenced her dance training at the Rogerson Ballet Academy in Sydney, completing all RAD exams up to Advanced 2. She went on to finish her studies at the Western Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) under the direction of Lucette Aldous, Alan Alder, Mark Annear, Lenny Westerdyk and Reyes de Lara.

She has had an extensive professional career working as a dancer, singer and actor both in Australia and Asia. She has performed with Darc Swan Dance Company, Come Alive Productions, Disney, Di Heaton Dancers, Wonderland Sydney and Dance Encore Productions including the Musical ”Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (role of Snow White).

Nicky has also performed at various Charity Events including performances as “Marilyn Monroe”, Carols in the Domain, ‘MO’ Awards, Opening of Stadium Australia, RSL Club Promotions, Westfield Promotions, Christmas Functions and NRL football events. She has appeared on a number of Television commercials and series including ’ Farscape’ and ’Going Home’ and has performed as a lead vocalist with a number of bands in Sydney.

Nicky has over 25 years teaching experience and has taught at many dance studios both in Australia and America. She also lectured in classical ballet at Federation University and Sydney TAFE, for the Bachelor of Musical Theatre program.

Nicky gained her RAD Teaching Certificate in 2002, graduating with a High Distinction. She was on the RAD NSW Regional Advisory Panel for 6 years and of those, 3 years as Chairperson.

Nicky’s students have gone on to achieve success in many fields of the Performing Arts Industry both in Australia and overseas. She is passionate about dance and dance education and nurturing the young mind and body, instilling confidence, artistry, knowledge and creativity to all performers, of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds.

FUN FACT: Miss Nicky has 3 children, including identical twin girls.
