The story of The Edge Dance Centre isn’t about one person.
It’s about thousands of moments — a child finding their confidence, a shy student stepping on stage for the first time, friendships formed in the studio hallway, and families growing together over many years.
It is a story shaped by students.
For more than 25 years, The Edge Dance Centre has been a place where children are supported not only as dancers, but as people. From their very first class to their final bow as graduates, students are nurtured through every stage of their development — physically, emotionally, creatively and socially.
Founded with the vision of creating a supportive, inspiring and high-quality dance environment, The Edge has grown into a vibrant community where young people are encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their individuality and pursue excellence in the performing arts.
Today, that same philosophy continues to guide everything we do — exceptional dance training delivered within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Guiding Vision
Behind the scenes, The Edge Dance Centre is led by Director Nicky Diamond (RAD RTS), who has guided the studio for over 15 years.
With a lifelong background in dance education and performing arts, Nicky’s role is not to stand in the spotlight, but to provide steady leadership and ensure the studio remains a place where children feel safe, supported and inspired.
As a mother herself, she understands the trust families place in the studio. That trust is honoured through clear standards, strong values and a child-first approach to everything The Edge does.

The Edge Dance Centre continues to evolve — shaped by new students, growing families, passionate teachers and the changing needs of the community it serves.
